FREE: Bakelite Clip, with Rhinestones/Paste(?)

I tried to find an exact definition for what it called Paste, and so far the only thing I've found was that anything in a cut clear glass stone, prior to 1940 was paste! Going back to Roman times! This seems a but odd to me , because I would think any cut crystal would fit that category, if it was before 1940.So, I cannot swear that this is paste, it is also very much like modern rhinestones , but the color looks different. At any rate this is a clip, I'd say it is Bakelite, but I'm no authority ,on that either,though I've had many Bakelite pieces , before! There is a Patent number of the back, but nothing else. It's a lovely green with a nice design and probably is Art Deco from around the 1930's. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
