The listing, Please Read Sony Vaio laptop has ended.

This is used I have had this for 3 years now. My son dropped it and the screen is messed up.Don't no if it can be fixed or not. It powers on and starts up. But screen is disoranted.Might be able to fix or use for parts.

It dose have a power cord but taped up due to being broke. It dose charge it.

I was going to put it on ebay but I decided to put on here for credits.

Has a small crack on bottom and plastic around screen is kinda loose on one side.
I paid 1200.00 when I bought this new. Its a shame that he droped it because it was a good computer.

Do you know if its the LCD panel or the video card?

(e.g. Have you tried hooking it up via HDMI or VGA port to a known working monitor/TV?)

It seems like its the LCD panel (I have replaced them before, it is common to see lines like that going across the screen...), but if its the video card you could be kinda screwed as those are usually integrated into the mainboard on laptops.

If it is the LCD screen it is an easy fix. Good luck in getting as many creds as you can! Nice auction! :-D

Yep it cost around 100-125 bucks to get the screen fixed nice deal for a $1000.00+++ computer.

Thats alright I was messing around with stuff in it to day.and changed some stuff with the setting. And now its not messing up its clear has a bell. Don't no if kids changed something in it or maby it has a loose wire in it but its working fine right at the minute and It really sucks I could not figure it out before but now that I listed it its not messing up now.So who ever wins it going to get a really good computer that is not messed up now.

Ok everyone I have been messing around with this computer with the setting and restore points in it.And some how the screen is not messing up no more its all cleared up. I wish I could take a picture and show everyone. I have shut it down and restarted twice to see if it messed up again when restarted and it has not messed again. So as of now there is nothing wrong with this.I can't promise it will not mess up again but right now it is clear no lines or nothing.This really sucks because I went out and paid another 800 dollars for a new one and this one is working now.

I posted a fake auction to show everyone that its not messing up no more with pictures.If no ones flags it and it is deleted you can see pictures of it cleared up.

yeah, it's cleared up. But I think there are also other things that screwed up, co'z once you dropped a laptop, everything is affected. I guess the Hard drive is also affected on this, well, it seems OK for now, but the effect will show later...=)

Yeah! Thats what I said for now it was cleared up. But could not guarantee that it would stay this way.Thats what I shut it down and restarted a dozen times moved it around turned upside down just to see if the screen done anything but it didn't so I don't no why it was messing up or why it cleared up.But i wish i could just keep it now but can't do that because I already listed it on here.

Can you calibrate the screen as you might a touch screen on some computeres? Are you referring to those series of lines going top to bottom in columns?
Does someone know if you can replace whatever it is that operates the screen?

I have no idea.Its not a touch screen. Yes there are lines across and lines down just really messed up when it starts up.I'm not sure if you can fix it.If someone knows how to work on computers mabe. But that person is not me.
