I will have to try them that way. I have always just cubed them and put them in with the greens.

So you eat the tops, too? I've only eaten the turnip mashed with salt and pepper and a tiny bit of margarine or butter. Very good!

Oh yes Turnip greens are wonderful. You wash them, cut them up any size you like, season them with salt and pepper (a little ham added to them is good too), boil them until they are tender and they are very good. Here in the south we usually eat them with a piece of corn bread.
