VINTAGE / ANTIQUE / MID-CENTURY LANG STERLING SILVER "THISTLE" FLOWER BROOCH / PIN - 6 GRAMS PURE STERLING SILVER - but even beyond the precious metal weight, this is a highly dimensional and intriguing vintage piece from the east coast Lang Jewelry Co. - my bet is that this was a piece of "mourning jewelry" as the pin is decidedly edgy and thematically "dark." thistle IS known for it's painful personality and this piece is in stark contrast to Lang's typical daffodil, grapes, poodles, and ballet dancer themes, for example. piece size is 2" X 1".
