This format uses two 20' ocean cargo shipping containers, for the primary structural elements in a construction of an approx. 850 sq. ft. (heated area) home / bungalow. The foundation is dug out of a shallow pit and set on steel rectangular tube, set in concrete footing (at the depth required for your frost line). After the containers are set, the material from the excavation is back filled to ½ the height of the container for added insulation. Low cost to start, adaptable for upgrades as time / money permit.
