Quick question it has been awhile since I had marigolds. How would you describe their scent?

marigolds dont have the "pretty" scent but are more "fresh" scented, i guess. they are hardy, bushy, produce lots of blooms, and are great for repelling mosquitoes. i have mine planted in front of my porch chair and its been great! butterflys and hummingbirds like them too.

LOL! i was sold on the mosquito repellant part too! I live in an area where they just clearcut a huge area in my back yard and all the bugs were nuts for a while except near my porch! I loved it!! and i only had one big plant. We also had a frog problem too when they cut everything down, LOL! Oh and the scent is not strong, they look really pretty tho. P.S. i harvested about 200 blooms for seeds off the one plant. each bloom has around 20 seeds, i guess, if u want to harvest seeds for next year.

mosquito repellant flowers? Oh honey bunches of oats, im sold too. This may turn into a fast & furious auction. lol. we all want these. They would look perfect in the front out of home. We have NO flowers in thr front but more then enough room and dirt to plant. This would be something awesome for the little one's to get into the fun and know that something they plant will grow slowly yet surely right in front of their eyes. Im going to raise this bid, I hope I win they are BEAUTIFUL! ")
