The listing, Toshiba labtop, new hard drive has ended.

black Toshiba labtop not working for parts only. I had just gotten a new hard drive installed on it and it worked fine for 2 weeks then it blacked out and the screen hasn't turned on since then. but u can hear it running when u turn it on. idk what happened to it. its also missing the space bar.

in a way ur pretty much bidding on the hard drive which cost me $65

shipping is a bit high since it is heavy .

charger will be also included .

As far as your mom's HP Pavilion, if it is a dv2000-dv6000 series, these laptop had problems with the nvidia GPU (graphics processing unit) that would overheat, causing the solder joints to lose contact with the motherboard. it is possible to do what is called a reflow process on the you, but is not a permanent fix. Since you bought this laptop, & have the original receipt, You can contact HP, & they will replace the motherboard, as this is what needs to be replaced. HP was sued, & they were required to fix all of the defective units. You just have to contact HP, provide the laptop with the original receipt, & they will replace the motherboard. I am a A+ Cert computer tech, you can also research the nvidia gpu defect with the DV series laptops by googling DV series nvidia gpu defect.

oh really. wow. things u dont know unless ur an expert. I believe she still has the receipt, I filed her taxes so its just a matter of getting it from that year. ill definitely have to see if its any of those models. I appreciate ur input on that. I had no idea HP could do that, since the warrantee expired I didnt think it could be fix without paying for it. Thank you so much :)

I ship laptops all of the time Priority Mail, I will be bidding on the item, Laptops do cost $25-$30 to ship them safely without damage. I will pay for shipping materials such as bubblewrap, A 15" Laptop is around 14" across, 11" front to back, I would need you to get a box that would allow for atleast 2" of padding between the laptop on all sides to prevent damage to the unit. I refurbished laptops, & I would need this to arrive safely for its parts to be usable. I don't know why people on this site are so rude when they are getting items for free. We ought to be thankful that individuals are offering these items for someone to be able to use them. Just let me know what it will cost for it to arrive here safely, I will take of the cost. Thanks, & Have a great day!!!!!!!!!

thank you. :) exactly. ive had various of people like that. if anything im the one loosing here if I pay for something I have no money for. my point exactly, ill rather have someone that knows about computers and can either fix it or use the parts than for it to continue taking up space since its no use for me. I appreciate ur comments, it makes me feel way better, for some reason people make u look like a fraud or a bad person just for justifying shipping terms. that's exactly why I did it before item ends, then they want to argue and give negative feedback for not paying for item to be sent safely. then lista says im responsible for it arrving safe, who ends up loosing there. me. cuz not only I wont have my item, the credits get refunded too. wtf. that's why im making it super clear before it ends. like that im securing my self, if its there and people bid, after item ends if they're not aware it's not my fault because I made my shipping terms and conditions available to them. thank you for allowing others to know from an expert around how much shipping is for laptops. :)

no it would be shut down, since she would hardly use it, she would completely turn it off, and closed it. and just leave it on the desk. even when charging it, if the battery was full it would be unplug, until it would almost ran out of battery then it would be plugged back in.

i did fan you but based on your comments about shipping i will not be bidding. if you are going to charge exact shipping, you should have listed it as buyer pays exact shipping, not $25 flat rate and then later say if its more, buyer is responsible for posting. good luck.

Old School would say blue screen harddrive gone but new school and what youre describing and Im not there to run hardware test just guessing either hard drive or video and if its video that could mean lcd gone bad or onboard graphics bad and that most times incurs mother board

oh. see that sounds more likely to be the problem, and is it worth fixing? this laptop cost my mom around $1, 2000 I know cuz I payed for it with my credit card she just made the payments. and just when the 2 yr warrant expired it messed up. its sad really cuz It was an excellent computer, it even has the control to view movies or for what I would use it is for my presentations to change slides.lol but I know if it can be fixed my mom will pay for it, unless fixing it costs way too much.

keyvaswalker you could be right about video but in all prob a bad stick of ram someone may have put their fingers on the contacts of the ram card in checking it out and sometimes that wont show up for awhile and that's why I suspect ram card

ohhh. see I wouldnt know, I put too much money on this on already so I was like forget it. but it was weird how it blacked out all the sudden. let me ask u about another one I have that's not working either. its an HP pavilion laptop, its my mom's. that one blacked out too, but since it was keeped on a desk, it was never moved really for it to have been dropped or anything. I think that one messed up cuz desk had a Window in front, and im guessing the sun messed up the screen. because at times the screen had all weird sorts of colors it will eventually adjust back to normal, then one day I turned it on and the screen turned on then did a weird flashing white line across the screen and turned off, but the laptop was still on u could hear it working, all buttons lights where on just the screen was off. I was told it probably needs a new hard drive too, but I havent been able to buy the part to get it fixed. what do you think is the problem on that one? ???

this is a heavy item, and unless it fits on a priority box, which I wouldn't know till im ready to send it, it will most likely be around that much to ship , even on a large priority box ur looking around 20 dollars still.
