The full moon Mating ceremony, a real-life-penguin tradition requires that all bachelor birds present special stones to their sweethearts before claiming them as their mates. And in the film it is during such an occasion that Hubie, a shy penguin with a heart of gold, finds the perfect pebble for his love, Marina. But Marina has another admirer, the evil Drake, who tries to eliminate his worthy rival by casting Hubiw out to sea. Luckily, Hubie meets Rocko, a fine-feathered friend who agrees to help him find his way back to Marina. In their exciting race against time, sea, storm, and a host of other advesaries. Rocko and Hubie forge a lasting friendship and learn that when it comes to true love, it's not the pebble but the penguin who always gets the girl.
