Handmade Sock Monkey Tear Bear paper piecings. Made from expensive thick handcrafted 150gsm-165gsm mulberry paper. The Sock Monkeys are stickers that I glued to cardstock and hand cut. The standing bear measures approx. 4 1/2 inches tall, 3 inches wide. The sitting bear measures approx. 4 inches tall, 3 1/4 inches wide. I used a pattern from Beary Sweet Designs to create this.

Definition: Tear bears are circles, ovals and similar shapes torn from mulberry paper to give it a fluffy real like look and assembled into the shape of a teddy bear before being glued together.

There are many uses not limited to scrapbooking layouts, cards, framed with a picture, magnets. The possibilities are numerous!

Don't miss out! I can't make the same tear bear again. If I have the materials I can make one similar. But each tear bear or critter comes together in my hands. They take on their own personalities.

Fanned back. Thank you! These are 3D decorations I handmade out of mulberry paper. They are not stuffed but have a real bear fuzzy look to them. Most commonly they are used in scrapbook layouts. However, they can be framed, made into magnets. placed on your favorite jar for use as a canister, hung on the wall with ribbon. I hung some from my tree. There are many uses.
