Yet another gift from Grandpa, this listing is for a 24k gold layered proof of the 1933 Gold Double Eagle. I am not a collector, but I know this is NOT an original 1933 Gold Eagle.

From the booklet included, here is more information on this proof:

Material: Cu, layered in 24k gold

Issue year: 2003 (Replica)

This is also true, but in this case it makes sense that the coin would have no face value because it is a proof and not legal US tender.
