The listing, Noni Seeds has ended.
This auction is for 20 seeds. I only mail Thursday-Saturday.
Cut the foot off of an old nylon stocking at the ankle. Put the noni seeds into the stocking and tie a knot in it above the seeds.
Put the seed stocking into a quart glass jar. Drop a small rock into the jar on top of the stocking to weigh it down. Fill the quart jar about ¾ full with bottled water. Place it on a warm windowsill out of direct sun for one or two days to hydrate the seed coats.
Rinse the noni seeds in a colander under warm running water. Pat dry with paper towels. Use a fingernail clipper to cut about 1/16th of an inch from the pointed end of a noni seed. Don't expose the white embryo. If you clip too much off, discard the seed and try again with another one. This scarification will allow air and water to reach the embryo, and greatly reduce the germination time.
Planting the Noni Seeds
Fill a 3-inch pot to about an inch from the rim with vermiculite. Set the pot in a shallow pan of warm water until the surface of the medium feels moist to your touch. Remove the pot from the water and allow it to drain freely for about two hours.
Press the side of noni seed lightly into the center of the medium. Cover the seed with ½ inch of vermiculite and firm gently with your fingers. Use a repurposed plastic spray bottle to mist the medium until it feels evenly moist, but not soggy or wet. Firm the medium again.
