The listing, 1918 ISSUED SPERRY & HUTCHINSON TRADING STAMP - OHIO - MNH OG - EXTREMELY RARE! has ended.

1918 Ohio issued Sperry & Hutchinson (S&H) trading stamp. Redeemable for cash or merchandise thru 1919. These were the precursors to the more familiar Green Stamps that those of us are old enough to remember. This particular stamp is mint and never hinged with original glue on back. Overprinting on front. The redeeming instructions are printed on back as well and is a little difficult to read (may be my eyes need checked). These specific issues are extremely rare in this condition. A great addition to any BOB collector!!!

Hey, you realize this is not a B.O.B. item. It is O.O.B (out-of-the-book) item. This is a mercantile trading stamp—having no postal, nor revenue, nor postal service value of any kind in its own time, or presently.
YES, it is collectible — but shouldn't it be placed in "advertising memorabilia", as a classification rather than in collectible stamps? I think it is confusing, even if China Mike might approve.

I realize it is not a BOB, but an OOB, but figured it would attract collectors of ODD OOB's or BOB's or WGAFC (who gives a fruit cake!).

Hey...how did I get dragged into this one?? Whitefoot...you are right..it is a O.O.B. stamps...but I think it's no problem to list it in the Stamp Category...if it was listed in the Advertising Memorabilal...not many
stamp collectors would see it...heck...I've never looked in that category..maybe I missing something?? Great stamp Bill!! China Mike
