I found it beat up, broken n dented next to a garbage dumpster I was emptying trash into. At first I thought," Crap, just my luck its not real..just a crappy, dirty broken necklace...but I saw the locket n was planning to keep that ..but I got home n sanded some scratches out of it w my fingernail dremel, polished it w spit n a chamois bc I was scared Brasso would ruin it. I fixed a dent, found somethg that fit the missing part but was way too stark n white, so washed a coat of gold, then copper over it to matchbit to the rest of the necklace...n TADA....A BEAUTIFUL, REFURBISHED, STEAMPUNK NECKLACE!! I was so excited to show Stephen, I dropped everythg (lost 2 auctions I was watching for Xmas gifts!)n posted it to Listia ...n well, here we are!! I hadn't really explored STEAMPUNK jewelry b4 I accidently saw Stephens amazing necklace. I'd been more into exploring the fashions, the corsets, bustiers, long dresses w lace up boots petticoats n bustles..n I have a steampunk trunk that was also of that era..but the jewelry is equally stunning. What a glorious time for style n fashion!! I'll ad a pic of my wedding outfit 26 yrs ago..I was very Steampunk n had no idea there was a name for it..it was just my style!

beautifull wedding Picture Robin, yes steampunk is the scifi of the 1800 steam era visiting and older victorian time , of the future,LOL i know its hard to understand , but yes your wedding picture fits the act. and thanks for thinking of me for the steampunk , if i win this, im Going to intergrate this into my next piece, so its Robin and steves steampunk piece. ive wanted to do this with other jewelry craft people, but never connected. great going sis.
