A very nice collection of beautiful green and blue turquoise nuggets. Approximately 57 nuggets in various sizes and shapes and colors that weigh in a total weight of 24.1 grams. These are authentic turquoise nuggets in a raw unpolished state. All listia rules apply. Thank you happy bidding.

where were they acquired? Some of them look like dyed stone, can you take better pictures without the flash reflections?

They belonged to my grandfather who was a professor at Paris Jr. College and taught mineral and rock courses. Not sure of the origin but he traveled alot. I will get some individual sizes today.

The largest one weighs 1.3 grams and is 9/16 of a inch long,3/16 of an inch thick, and 3/8 of an inch wide. 1/2 of them weigh .6 grams or more. Then 40 to 43% of them weigh at least .4 and .3 grams a piece. The smallest which consist of eight of them weigh in at total weight of 1.8 grams. Hope that helps.
