Yes, It does have an adaptable base so you can either sit it on your desk or mount it on your monitor or wherever you may want to!

I would imagine that it would be able to do that, but I am not certain. Please do not take my word on it because I never used it for either services. I actually hardly used it at all because of my limited bandwidth. I can do some research and see if I can find out, however the description that I listed was the most detailed description of the cam's abilities that I found.

I did some research and as far as the HD goes it has a grade of 720p HD still photos.
