Honestly I don't know. My son is a chunky little thing. He was 9 lbs at birth so he's always worn bigger sizes. Bought it when he was around 8 or 9 months old and it fit him alright but it could swallow another baby up whole lol. It looks kinda big on the hanger but once its on it fits pretty good. Just had a hard time with him trying to button it around his wrists because he had little fat rolls around his arms lol :)
