Its a netgear its not assigned to a cable company I bought it. 1 year ago at walmart just after taxes. So its about 9 months old. It can support up to 300mbps speeds.

It has to be connected to a internet modem and then to a systwm of some kind it was directly connected to my ps3 instead of cpu for a long time.

It comes with the router and charger. I got one that's built into my new century link modem. Just switched rrom Comcast
