My mother had a watch her husband bought for her in the late 70's or early 80's and it had the same watch band. When I was little, I had an original (I'm 63) and it had a leather band. They didn't have the cloth bands back then. Not to rain on your parade, but I don't think this one is from the 50's, 'cause I AM!! LOL!!!
