Corset-a woman's tightly fitting undergarment extending from above or below the chest to the hips, worn to shape the figure. Has boning, originally made with bones, but more modernly made with steel or plastic. Structure redistributes body fat, creating the "hourglass" figure. (These are stiffer and more supportive than a bustier). By plain definition, this product can be considered a corset. But by structure, it is more of a tight-fitting material with usually 2-4 plastic bones to help hold it in place and accentuate the curves. The difference is in how much the garment shapes the body. Bustiers do so less than corsets. :) Good luck, I just wanted to inform you that it is confusing to label it as a corset when it does not function the same as one.
