Description

The listing, 1 Live Corkystem Passion Flower Passiflora Suberosa Start has ended.

Up for bids is 1 live Passiflora Suberosa start. The actual plant you will get is I the first 2 pics. When it blooms it will have a tiny yellow green passion flower. It also produces tiny "fruits" that start green and turn deep purple, almost black. The fruits are not for eating & if your open them they do have a dye that is sometimes used as ink. Each fruit has many seeds. This grows wild here in Florida. I am not sure how it does in other areas but you can easily google it to see how it will do where you are. It is a vine, and will grow up anything including other plants. I was so happy to fid this growing in my yard. The flowers are tiny but so beautiful.

Would you plant the whole seed or bust it open?

Ive done some research & found that people do it both ways. I would say if you are planning to plant right away, try planting the whole fruit intact. If you plan on storing the seeds you can let the pods dry & then remove the seeds. That way your fingers won't turn purple lol. Also, I have had luck propagating cuttings.
