Hello, I'm very mindful of protecting the sold items that I shop out to buyers. I will wrap this bracelet in a small plastic bagging, place it in a white envelope and put it into a bubble envelope. I will mark "Fragile" on the front and back of the envelope and send it first class mail with tracking. Very good question and thanks for asking it!
I sold jewelry for a large local pawn shop for a couple of years on eBay. I learned my first lesson the hard way way back then when I first started :(. I mailed a large ring to a woman and it was destroyed when she got it. Never ever want that to happen again.
May I ask how you will ship this? Will you use a bubble envelope with extra padding and tracking? I've actually had several nice pieces mailed to me lately in regular white envelopes without padding and they arrive just that way.....in pieces. It's got me so I'm leery of bidding on anything that's fragile. Thank you.
If I win, I would be willing to pay you the difference for shipping it in a small flat rate priority box. They are $5.15, and have you place that padded envelope inside the box. That way the insurance and tracking are included in the price.....just be sure to declare the approximate replacement value when you ship it. I have noticed that sometimes, after adding tracking and insurance, the cost is about the same as First Class.
