Basically brand new, the only thing in the box that has been used is the wooden/hard paper shading stencil that is used to go over the the drawing to equal out the shading and it was only used once. When you open up the set you would think that it has never been put to used. It is a 21 piece set and comes with 5 skinny charcoal sticks, the shading stencil, the puddy that is used for helping to erase and lighten shading, a charcoal shading block, 6 elite shading pencils with smooth shiny black shafts for holding and each of the pencils shade is darker or lighter than each other, 2 other charcoal pencils that are different than the rest and have shiny smooth silver shafts for holding, and 5 cylindrical charcoal 3 inch long charcoal sticks that have different degree of shades. this is an expensive set in any art shop.
