The first time I played it, I thought the Dragonball people had ripped it off. You play son Goku, The chick looks like bulma, There's a turtle hermit, you're collecting crystal balls. I thought The manga was a rip-off. Guess not.

While this was based on Dragon ball. They majority (like 95%) of any DBZ references were removed for the US version. Since in the late 80s there was very few who had heard of DBZ. The game was a complete flop. Lack of story line, cruddy commentary, and a fighting system that left it to luck with no skill involved.
