the Latest Full version of Linux Fedora OR Ubuntu
sent to you by USPS on DVD ready to install.
guaranteed to work, ready to go.
all you will need to do is pop it in and boot your pc.
laptop or desktop from a DVD rom
Linux being a free and open source operating system there's no proprietary hurdles to leap, I'm just realizing that not every one can deal with ISO files and get them burnt correctly. Excellent way for novice's to try new operating systems and put Windows in the trash where it belongs.
so take your pick, which one you want to try?

either of these operating systems can run side by side with your current windows, run solo right off the DVD for you to try it first and not bother your current operating system. or can be selected to format the hard drive for a clean install.
If you've not ever tried a Linux operating system, think smart phone. it's a lot similar, except you can run most but not quite all windows programs on them, and are fairly easy to master.

these operating systems offer more software than you get with any windows package. you'll have everything you need. disc encryption, office programs that are compatable with windows office, they pick up all the current drivers for anything you got automatically!!!, either of these systems put windows to shame!!. even if you spend over $1000 on applications for whatever windows OS you got, you still won't have what you will with either of these systems. more security, theres no back boor to the NSA like in windows 8, more support from live people than you could ever imagine from microsoft. You really want to try this and see what the open source community have built for you. So your used to windows and afraid of change, get over your fear, and try it. you will not regret this, and you will never feel more secure, or safe from virus's and malware. this is secure, secure, secure. there is a rebelion against status quo, and microsoft is the status quo. join the rebelion, and never look back.

Dec 30th, 2013 at 5:24:06 AM PST by
Original
nope, pop it in and go. no key required.
you will have a fully operational operating system.
the GIN is not very much, and completely fair I think seems I'm going to ship it to you.

I need Ubuntu on a flash drive
Do you have one?
Jan 2nd, 2014 at 11:29:12 AM PST by
Original
yes, but would want more for that.
flash drives are more than a DVD-R disc.

How much for it?
Jan 2nd, 2014 at 11:44:00 AM PST by
Original
dunno, I'd have to go buy one for you, lol
would only have to be a 2GB i think.

Ok, I got an old 1GB flash drive and it fit orangemu, you can have that if you win this auction.
Jan 2nd, 2014 at 12:59:06 PM PST by
Original
yep, just tried it, the old 1GB flash took the Ubuntu OS just fine.
it's completely full, but it's there and working. if you want the 1GB flash drive instead of the DVD i guess that's ok this time, but I have no more. you must specifiy when you win.

these are both free download programs
Jan 3rd, 2014 at 5:19:50 AM PST by
Original
yes, they are indeed both freeware OS's.
darn good ones too, I might add, currently running K-Ubuntu, and I run windows 7 in a window, so I can run a few windows games, LOL
never the less, some people aren't that comp lit to down load and burn bootable ISO files, but can generally handle popping in a DVD and following prompts. and may want to try them. it's not like I'm charging anything for them, and 3500 listia points ain't too much too ask i don't think.

These were burned or purchased?
Jan 4th, 2014 at 10:58:13 AM PST by
Original
burned of course..
Linux is a free open source operating system..
very popular, very stable, and literally bug and virus free.
of the millions and millions of windows virus's, at last count, there were no more than 57 total virus's that could effect linux based systems.
you literally have nothing to worry about really of ever getting a virus again.
the operating system comes installed with every office program you could want or need, and they are completely compatible with windows files such as word, excel, power point, etc, etc.
there is no where to purchase Linux systems, you have to down load the ISO files yourself, and burn them. some people don't know how to deal with ISO files, this is an opportunity to try Linux w/o needing to do that.

well then it is against the rules unless u purchased a copy of their software and had it mailed to u with their logo etc. i know because if this is allowed i would be listing copies. i recommend tons of freeware including os such as linux based freebies.
Jan 4th, 2014 at 6:54:37 PM PST by
Original
it's not against any rules to distribute freeware.
even Linux says, distribute it. alter it and offer better upgrades or different versions of it, sell it market it, they don't care. they don't sell it, there's really no one to purchase it from. hence the name free-ware.
the only thing I'm doing here really is doing the service to put it on a booatable disk. for that, I ask 3500 listia credits, and i flip for the shipping of the disk.

Yes but listia says No Copyright Material. I believe this is Copyright. Plus if that is the case why doesn't everyone IT / Computer oriented do it? Just asking.
Jan 4th, 2014 at 9:20:56 PM PST by
Original
there no copyrights on it.
it's FREEWARE....
designed by the people, created by the people, and distributed by the people. hence it's name Ubuntu...
