A lady I met here on Listia, is trying to get up stuffed animals, books, toys, ect. together to deliver to the children who are in the hospital! So I have listed up a auction to help her! The more the bids, the bigger the box of toys! I will find the biggest box I can and STUFF it FULL of toys, stuffed animals and childrens books for the sick kids. I will then ship it, at my expense, to this wonderful lady for her to take to the hospital!
But dont fear! The winner of this auction will not only give the gift of happiness to many children, but will then get to choose a $10.00 gift card to any of these places which I will also ship to the winner for free!

When you list a item, down towards the bottom before you hit submit, there will be a option to donate all the points to charity. Out of curiousity why dont you just take or send the toys to the Ronald McDonald house in Central OR.. instead of sending them to someone else to donate.? I think this auction is amazing and YOU should be getting the credit for the donation.. not someone else.. just my 2 cents worth.. great idea and wonderful auction.. My other son was hospitalized for Pneumonia on Thanksgiving 09. This was a differant hospital but they also gave him a handmade quilt, crayons, markers and some old maid cards. These things were all new and inexpensive but it sure made my 6yr old sons day after the nurses were so nice to him and gave him all that stuff.
I suggest sending quilts (if you knw someone who can make them) crayons, markers, pads of paper. Im so glad you care as well. Thank you for running this auction

I wish I could just donate pts to you for these kids but it wont let me. I do want to tell you about our hospitals here in NC. My son is a preemie born 3 mths early. He was hospitalized 3 mths and these ladies were hand making quilts and blankets for the preemies to keep. I thought that was the most wonderful thing for these ladies to do for these babies. Made me feel good to know they cared.

Gr8 idea but I know most hospitals require new stuff jus cuz used stuff can carry too much changes of germs and illnesses. I had tons of used stuffed animals to donate but it was a no go. But gr8 idea, ty for being so dedicated.

Im going to donate some dvd's because they are able to watch movies! I also have another auction up for the kids in the hospital in my area. I want to help as many as I can! I am also trying to teach my daughter how to be a good, caring, giving person so Im going to take her along to donate the toys to the kids in my hospital! ;)

The only way I knew was because my daughter tried to give the hospital here good used (looked new) toys of my grandsons and they said they couldnt cause they werent knew.... But there was people in town that was happy to take the nice used toys... They give them to needy families for christmas... Hope you get lots of new toys for the children....

I just know all of our local hospital will only accept new in package toys, and they never accept stuffed toys, since they are easier to harbor germs! Hate to see you all go through this and not be able to donate them! Maybe you could even auction off some of the used toys to get more points to buy new ones! Great auction!

better check with the hospitals to see if they will take good used toys for the children first..... our hospital wont give used toys to the children because they could get something from them no matter how nice they look....
