Plant after danger of frost has passed. It depends where you live. I'm in Nebraska and I plant them in May. These seeds do better if you sow (plant) them directly in the ground. Other seeds you can start indoors 6-8 weeks earlier, but these plants don't transplant well and they grow FAST. Plant them in a group. After the flower die you can break off the flower heads (deadheading) to make the plant make more blooms or you can leave them alone and they'll create seeds. You can save the seeds to trade on Listia or plant the next year. The plants will also drop seeds and those will come up as volunteer plants. That's probably more than you wanted to know.
