Hello these are led 20x magnifying glasses, the eyeflaps can turn freely up and down. the led lights make it easier to see. Can be used for many things from home and office to repairing circuit boards. These are brand new too!! :)

I've been looking for something like these for when I'm tying flies... Most of the hooks I have are pretty small and I have to squint just to see the tiny hook and where I'm putting the material.

There great to have, I do allot of electric repair and solder tiny items only circuit boards. So having these helps my eye's out big time.

How can you focus these at a greater distance than right in your face. I have a set but can only focus if they are right in my face and makes it hard to do the work?

Sorry I do not know, I do not have that problem. Maybe you can put some sort of shim on them to help you out? Just trying to brain storm something up for you.
