dessy420, I think the possibility of a price like that may, at best, been because of what was stated earlier, the date was shown in the mis-strike. since this one is on the opposite side, you can do some investigating and find out an approximation of worth though.

i know misstrikes are more valuable if the date is showing

the date is probably identifiable by someone with knowledge of particular die forms, my estimation based on looking at it narrows it to between 1959 and 1982...some expert out there might just take a glance at it and know all about it by means of sister mis-strikes, records of the day the machinery had to be repaired, etc....it becomes something of a CSI type mystery with a story that can make it very valuable
