Hello everyone and welcome back <3 It's my day off and you know what that means, I am snapping those photos away and listing some more fantastic auctions. I even took a shot at treasure hunting and turned up a whole lot of shininess to share <3 So let us get started shall we?

About this Shiny:
This is an item that I have been holding on to for quite some time. I found it on an adventure around the state to as many thrift stores and antique shops as we could knock out in a day. We found a really well kept religious thrift store called "Hope Thrift" . They had these really nice lighted china cabinets at the front and this was displayed. I purchased without hesitation, and would love to know it's age. This particular collar is threaded silver, unlike the white ones I have seen. It is rather small at a 12 1/2 inches in total length. The closure is a worn threaded loop that is supposed to slide over the large acrylic pearl half bead on the other side. The closure is worn and needs some love, it also could be useful to find some way to make it bigger. The necklace is definitely worth the care. I believe the pearls are acrylic, and the rhinestones are of a silver color :3

I wish that it could be mine; but not near enough credits to bid. My friend gave me her Grandmother's white collar like this. I keep it put up because I treasure it.

I used to have one when I was little and the one you have is probably the largest size for a child. You can still buy them new but even those will run you $29.95, so they are worth a little bit something.

I have my grandmothers and great grandmothers so 5 all together I wear one , gave one each to my daughters and am passing the other 2 down to my granddaughters, maybe who ever wins can pass it down through their family ;)

They made a comeback in the 70's. Some even had a long beaded tie added to them. This looks older than one from the 70's in all honesty. It does appear to be crocheted. This is a beautiful example of some great work.

That collar was so popular when I was a kid in the 50's. they were really popular with the nuns in Catholic high school & of course high school girls. lol. F/W

It's not a sweater... It's a collar. And I wouldn't know what to size it. Possibly a small or medium? For anyone interested I would suggest to measure ones neck
