There are no stains on outside or inside. When I was taking pictures, i broke off one zipper tab (see last picture) by accident. However, that does not end the performance of the zipper. I will put the broken piece inside, but i would just use it without it or tie a different thing to the zipper to use it. It has dual zippers on each side.

The inside of carrier is spotless and i have wiped it with Clorex wipe and then with most paper towel. The carrier is odorless from prior use. I can't explain why picture shows little specks in the inside because there are zero specks.

This was lightly used when we owned Sugar Gliders. I cannot advise whether this will be good with your critters. Please research on the manufacturer, Super Pet, to ask if your little critter will do well with this type of carrier.
