The first plate was a FEDERAL dinner plate and the first tray was a WELL & TREE. These three pieces made up the first collection of WILLIAM ARMETALE offered by the WILTON BRASS COMPANY and were first seen publicly at DAWSON'S PUB in New York City. The front of the mug says: Bicentinnial of the United States of America*1776*1976. I have the papers that came with it that tell you how to use it and how it was made.
