have 2 coins a 1947 canadian quarter and a 1944 two shillings both have silver in them the quarter 80% and the two shillings has 50% silver content in it. they called em a florin

Sorry buddy but in 1944 the silver content in British coins was only 50% they changed it when the war started. Still a nice coin though.

ur right on shilling it is 50% silver. but the canadian quarter is 80% sorry bout mixup.
