Gorgeous 3-stone, 14 karat SOLID gold sapphire pendant , marked 585 CE, which is a foriegn mark for 14k gold and a reference to the karat weight ... as described by this reference I found on the internet: 5/8 inch long from the top of the bail to the bottom of the lower stone.

These marks often are the only marks on items of European or Asian origin. Sometimes they'll have the karat equivalent stamped alongside: 585 (or 583) is equal to 14K, 750 is 18K, 417 is 10K, 333 is 8K, etc.

I don't know what the Ce indicates on the karat weight -- these stones are small but very NICE, clear blue sapphires ... not black-looking like some cheap stones!
