Questions & Comments
im sorry i just want to give the right info cuz everyone told me that too the day I started so when I ran out of credits to bid on something I wanted I was in for a surprise when the item I was bidding on wasnt worth half of what I had already bidded on it and was about to pay triple for it its ok cif it a little more when ur dealing with credits but that much more especially when u pay for credits isnt worth it sometimes so just check u will see
everyone is wrong on what the credits are worth actually if u are buying ur credits it would be 5 dollars for 1,500 credits and what u guys r saying $85 is not 85,000 credits its 34,000. 85,000 credits would cost you to buy them on here $212.50 so if u r buying your credits it would cost more to get it on here the way u guys r putting it try and buy the credits type in 85,000 credits to buy and see
Listia states that credits dont have a dollar value amount however as a seller and many that I have bought from consider credits to be 1000= $1.00 being we do not buy credits from the site we only sell items for credits. Items like this with free shipping sell for 65000 that would $65.00 and would be a reasonable price for a used tablet. Because the seller would not be able to buy a $65.00 for 26000 credits if they sold for the suggested 400 credits = $1.00 credits you state.Seller loose out that way. kathleenjeggers : Please keep in mind that both of the people suggesting that credits are 400 = $1.00 are new users and have not had the experience that myself and the other letting you know that credits are 1000=$1.00
Yovannagurrola, I suggest you browse the electronics under tablets and look at what other tablets are going for. There is one I am watching that is already at 25,000 credits. Any time a tablet, laptop, mp3 player, etc works and goes up for bid the bids are high.
Just an FYI, I figure out every thing at 400 credits = $1.00 it doesn't matter what Listia says in their rewards store. If you can buy 16,000 credits on Listia for $40 it's 400 credits per $1.00
How do you get that 400 credits = $1 when 16,000 divided by 4 means 400 credits = $10 (not $1). Simple math people...simple math. 16,000 = $40, 400 = $10, 32,000 = $80. 16,000 is a good starting price for a tablet.
You have $40 dollars you get 16,000 credits..so $1 gets 400 credits.$2 gets 800 $3 1200 credits $4 gets you 1600 credits $5 gets you 2000 credits $6 gets you 2400 credits $7 gets you 2800 credits $8 gets you 3200 credits $9 gets you 3600 credits $10 gets you 4000 credits.....NOW if $10 gets you 4000 credits then $40 gets you 16,000 credits ..that is simple math...Kimd79.. 16.000 divided by 4 is 4000 not 400...400 x4 =1600.Shellyndennison your explanation makes no sense at all..
My explanation makes perfect since..Boxer09 you have not sold any items of value that is why you may see them to be worth less. And KIMd79 how can you say they are worth that when you are selling your items based on the 1000 = $1.00 table . Your getting about 1000 per dollar in value. The only thing that wold stop this list from going for 45000-65000 is the fact that they are not verified and dont have any feedback. Other wise 45000 {$45.00} to 65000 {$65.00} is reasonable for this item. why are trying to sell someone short.
Also if that were the case and 400=$1.00 why is listia selling a $25.00 item for 35000 credit = to $87.50 ? Because they are not. They are selling the $25.00 item for 35000 = $35.00. Makes much more since.
Shellyndennison..I am not saying the pad is not worth 65,000 credits ..but its only worth what anyone will bid on it and it will be different on any given day..What I am saying is Listia is selling credits at 16,000 for $40 so that is 400 credits for $1 simple math..all the other you are talking about will never be the same on a daily basis (as the cost of Listia credits) because one day I may have extra credits and want something so bad I bet them all..then the next day I may not want to bid but a handful on the same Item.Plus free shipping decides if anyone bids at all. If this same item cost $20 to ship as it would from most retail websites you would have LESS bidders.and a smaller winning bid.
Only fools buy credits on here...come on, 16,000 for 40 bucks? You can't get anything for that. You sell stuff and buy stuff, hence why the site is here. Why would a new iPad air and a MacBook be up and going in which you win both for a million credits? Do you realize how much it would cost to buy that many. But that is the equivalent of about 1000 dollars on here, which again brings everyone to 1000=1$. The listia rewards store is where you can base that off of. DVDs and blurays go for between 20-30,000. Toys are about the same. A psvita went for 175,200 along with an xbox 360 w/kinect for the same price. If you base your credits on what they are sold for, you're a fool.
I would be worried about a new Listian not being verified instead of what credits are worth !! just saying !! Being new ,no feedback , all they got is a facebook badge for verification !! good day ....
Just wanted to add another opinion, as far as the credits argument is going...Most sellers & buyers, experienced sellers & buyers, consider 1,000 credits to equal $1.00. Yes, you can buy credits from Listia, but they gouge you. The credits are not worth what they are charging for them, and I believe that they do this because they know that pretty much only new people buy them, people that don't know better, and people that just need a few credits for a credit "emergency", to win an auction at the last minute. In the Listia rewards store, the items & gift cards that you can buy with credits from Listia, generally go at the 1,000 = $1.00 rate. I'm not telling you what to do or how to run your auction, just another vote for the 1,000 = $1.00 theory. :-) Good luck with your auction. :-)
watching n bidding, would feel more comfortable bidding higher if you were verified. ..its as simple as checking your email n clicking on the link...ty,welcome to listia and good luck on future auctions!
thats weird...been on here in the last few days but not on today, when your auction ends n you're still not verified?! i guess if im bidding im doing it at my own risk n praying that if within a reasonable amount of time i dont receive it, i get my credits back....i wish me luck!!
Kathleen, the more pictures and the more information the better. Check out my auction for the broken 7" tablet and see how much info I put up and how I answered the questions. Good luck girl with this one and all future ones.
Look at the shipping details...it says "Free Shipping United States" so yes that means Free Shipping in the US!! And offering only 2500 credits is like offering the seller $2.50 as 1,000 credits = $1.00
