What is in the circles and is it gold plated?

Not sure, it's old. Most of the 1928 brand jewelry are GP or Gold overlay. There are little pearl stones in the circles. I know that 1928 brand jewelry is very good jewelry. You can look it up online and see all the different type of jewelry. Thanks.
