Would love to be able to start a private dialogue of using these herbs. I do a fair amount of reading and am trying to learn. Alas, I realize I'm dreaming there. Wonderful listing! Personally, I believe herbals are so much better than what the "professional drug pushers" in there white lab coats are handing out. :)

I am very passionate about herbs and natural healing and am always learning more. I started out with a couple of herb books and started using herbs to treat different health issues. In the last few years I have had more space to grow more herbs and have done more in the way of making tinctures and drying herbs for winter and saving seed. I think it is very important, especially because of the way antibiotics are used with reckless abandon, to realize that there are alternatives. In the last few weeks, several family members were hard hit by the flu and though I also did get the flu, using a combination of herbs and essential oils, I had an extremely mild case. I think people are often scared to take charge of their own healing, as we grow up putting that power into the hands of others... even if they using medicines and methods that are short sighted or even harmful.
It is easy to learn about one or two herbs at a time and how to use them effectively and wisely. I find it deeply fulfilling as well.

Awesome auction! I don't have enough to bid but I'll be watching and saving! I would love to know more. I have done some tinctures with wonderful results but I don't have all these herbs at my disposal. New fan! :)
