Hi Pat&Clare, just to let you know these are not bank notes, they are what is known as rice notes.... kind of like food ration cards, except these notes are released by the government to allow poorer people to get food & other items. They are used just like money but do not get change, if you ration is 5 pounds of beef and vegetable that is what you got upon presenting this note to the grocer.
Just a heads up, I have these same notes myself, and am always watching your auctions for more interesting items! Good Luck with it!!
