Are the initials in the cancel on the 6-cent orange winged globe "G.S."?
(I can't quite make them out.) (Guadalcanal, APO, perhaps?)

6C Orange - Center on the Upper line having Stamp with GC
This one looks like 1934 6c Orange Air mail,

AIRMAIL STAMP (6-CENT)-ISSUE OF 1934

The issuance of this denomination airmail stamp was required to conform to the adjusted airmail rates which became effective on July 1, 1934.

The 6-cent airmail postage stamp is identical in size and design with the 5-cent airmail stamp of the 1930 issue and the 8-cent airmail stamp of 1932; the only alterations are a change in the denomination numeral to "6" and the color to orange.

Great information and link.
Very good of you to share!
After all, where are we going to get the next generation of stamp collectors, if we don't talk about it?
