This abstract piece of art was done by Errol Moo Young, a Jamaican Artist. Beautiful abstract art from 1974 when he was young and living in Jamaica. It is signed and on the back it says "Looking to the Spheres". I have talked with the artist and he told me he was just married when he did this painting, and looking at the stars and came up with the pen and watercolor piece. He told me the worth would be $1500.00

I am starting this at a very reasonable price, and he still does paintings and has his own gallery and his paintings are all very collectible. This one needs to be matted, and framed. There are no cuts or anything that I can see that would take away from having it framed and hung. It was done on interesting paper, kind of a mat with texture and printing on the back, so it looks like he picked it up from somewhere and just did his painting on it.

Here's a little info about the artist:

Jamaican graphic artist and advertising specialist. having been trained in New York. By doing my own research and studying other fine artists, my art evolved into a kind of abstract expressionistic style, Much of my work follows the dictates of the sub-conscious. Gradually revealing shapes and forms, colors are added instinctively, then layered over, scratched, re-drawn, collage images are sometimes added, covered, scraped. Slowly forms emerge, rendering them visible by adding lines, compartments; geometric lines are included. Destruction is also an integral part of the process, that adds a new dimension. Equally valid are impulses and accidents that start a new direction, a new synthesis as polymorphic forms emerge. Sometimes the process to a finished work can take years.

I'm not at home. Tomorrow I will get it out and measure. It is large, something like at least 15" long by maybe 10" (maybe it is a 11x14). I'll let you know hopefully in time.
