My best bud in jolly old England sent this to me, just so I could offer it to you. First of all...it IS REAL money! It is NOT just a token! They minted these just to honor the 2012 Olympics...which London is hosting the summer games next year.

It's a 5 pound coin....as in British POUNDS, their money instead of our dollars. (It doesn't weigh 5 pounds. Ha!) It's 1 1/2" in diameter X 1/8" thick, and the edge is ribbed. The front has good ol' Queen Lizzie on it, and the back shows the Countdown to the XXX Olympiad. It is technically uncirculated. He bought it new in a sealed packet and shipped it to me.

Let me be very clear....you can go to England and spend this. You could take it to your local bank and exchange it for American. I think the exchange rate is.....well, I can't remember exactly...but it's worth around $8 in our bucks.
