Description

The listing, The Best Small Cantaloupe has ended.

I realize we are all suffering from freezing temps right now.. but spring is coming and this is a good time to prepare for our gardens.............
8 seeds..... Charentais cantaloupe.. These are from my greenhouse supplier for the 2014 growing season. They are heirloom, organic non gmo, grow them once and save your seed for next year..........These are truly one of the best cantalouple I have ever eaten. They vine around 3 feet and are excellent for a trellis. I use netted panty hose strips to tie the fruits off to the trellis so they don't drop to the ground as they ripen. This works great, craddles them nicely and allows them to get full sun.
The charentais are about 2 lbs and measure around 5 inches ..maturing in 85 days ... creamy colored skin and super sweet flesh. As you can see in the picture, they have thin skin and more flesh which is a plus......... thank you for looking...

Great auction! Awesome tip with the pantyhose! I could have used that last year with a few tomatoes! Lol! :))

thank you... I grow my tomatoes out of the bottom of hanging 5 gallon buckets. I used steal pipe to make racks and hooked the buckets on with swivels so the plants can be rotated for sun and harvesting. My neighbor and I work an organic farm together, we spend a great deal of time trying to perfect the way we do things.

Wow that is really great! I would love to get any ideas you have! I just starting last year growing more that houseplant s and cactus. I only have a small 6•6 porch( or so) available with partial sun, my tomato plants hit the ceiling trying to get sun, but still produced, although I started them to late. I am going to have a small patch of land available this year( moms house), but would still like to grow on my porch. I started everything by seed last year ( pure luck), and have more. Any ideas on how to get more sun or better use of space? Any advice would be awesome if you would like to pm me. Thanks! :)
