The listing, Ruby and Diamond Ring has ended.
This ring is beautiful. I have had it for a number of years. It was given to me as a gift so I am not completely sure about the stones. The inside of the ring says, "14K HGE"- The card that came with the ring said the gemstones were genuine. I am assuming the diamonds are CZs and the rubies lab made. HGE means heavy gold electroplate.
I apologize for the blurry shot of the inside of the ring. I have not figured out how to photograph that close of a shot yet.
Using a paper ring sizer, it indicates the ring is a size 7. I would guess it to be a 7 1/2.

Questions & Comments
HGE means heavy gold plate so I am quessing since it is not solid gold the stones are not real.
Good assumption- The ring was bought for me through JCPenney. The card that came with the ring said, "genuine gemstones"- I have seen many jewelry pieces advertised as genuine stones; meaning lab created stones, not natural stones set in electroplate.. There are many grades of genuine stones as well. Since I am not a jeweler I can not say for sure what these stones are. I have always assumed the diamonds were CZs and the rubies lab created rubies. Whatever they are, the ring is very pretty. :)
In my opinion, this is not suitable for an engagement ring (could be used as a temporary engagement ring)- gold electroplate with gemstones. I have worn it as a wedding band on occasion and it is lovely but this wouldn't be in the same category as a solid 14K ring with diamonds.
It's so pretty and it's my birthstone. I don't have a wedding band because I lost a ton of weight and it doesn't fit-can't be sized. Hope to get this to replace it.
