I work until dark and walk out into unlit parking lot and am looking for something for self defense or at least peace of mind . would u recommend this ?

Actually, no I would not recommend this particular knife. If I were you, I'd go for something that's spring assisted. It's not a switchblade, but it's just as fast, if you have it adjusted correctly. Unfortunately, Listia doesn't allow me to sell them. But, if you can recognize one when you see it, go for it. Ask me if I would recommend any of my other knives. I would say yes. Look at the rest.

Take a look at the one with the orange scorpion. I would recommend it for self defense.
