I'm sorry for my confusion, just am not familiar with these. Are they for film lenses? Also, are they for example: taking a 50mm lens which requires a 52mm filter on it and therefore attach the 52-58mm (lens adapter ring) so that you can attach something that requires a 58mm instead, so in essence it makes a 52 or 55mm into a 58mm or incorporates all the sizes up to a 58mm. Sorry, I know I did the best I could trying to understand, and for the record I did "wikipedia" it first. :) If you could let me know more info. I'm sure you know more, Thank you. These are for if you have a 58mm camera (the part where the lenses screw on), and you want to attach a different size lens, in this case either a 55mm diameter lens or 58mm. I think it could probably be used to attach filters to the lenses like you described above, as well, although I haven't tried that. Hope this answers your question. I tried to fan you back, but I can't see a fan button on your profile. Maybe it's a glitch in my computer, I'll have to try later.
