is it made of cloth?

No its not. It is made of Non-woven Polypropylene, (I think) I looked all over the bag and couldn't find anything so I looked around the web and found that most re-usable shopping bags are made of this cotton or canvas. Its a thicker plastic-y material so I would say its safe to assume it made of nwp.
It does have a plastic insert for the bottom also.
