Short for Single In-line Memory Module, SIMM is a memory module developed by Wang laboratories in 1983. The SIMM circuit board that holds six to nine memory chips per board, the ninth chip usually an error checking chip (parity or non parity). The SIMM was used with computers using a 486, early Intel Pentium, and compatible processors. However, because the Pentium is 64-bit and a SIMM is only 32-bits wide, they must be installed two at a time when used with any 64-bit processor.

Hope this helps a little.

Here's some info on the Samsung-KMM5321000BV-7 Samsung 4mb 72-Pins Simm Memory

I don't have enough to go by for the Kingston, but if it was removed from the same unit it is safe to assume that it's the same type.

to inform all of you, this ram is used for the much older desktops. it is infact onlt about 16mb of ram each, these wouldnt fit in a laptop in this day in age nor in the older ages. i know a lot about the ram due to my IT experience. this isnt DDR ram. its somewhere along the lines of pc100 ram which is very old ram.
