The listing, Valuable '62 Roger Maris Card $$$ has ended.

Winner of this auction will get a nice collectible, vintage baseball card. An authentic 1962 TOPPS #1 Roger Maris. This card carries some nice value with it. A NM-M copy books out at $500 in Beckett magazine, for what that's worth...This particular card is NOT mint condition, but is far from being a filler...
Please view the pictures provided of the card to determine its grade and/or condition. There are no wrinkles or creases on this card. What would stop it from getting a PSA 7 , in my opinion, is the corners are touched with a slight white showing-Also my iPad couldn't capture it, but there is a small indentation by Maris' left cheekbone and a small scratch by his right arm-I could only see these when holding them up to the light...
Nice piece of MLB sports memorabilia to be had...Please do a little research on auction sites and you'll see that this card is worth a bit of money :)

awesome card. the question aboht what card shops would pay for items, the general rule of thumb is to double the money. so a $100 card you want to buy for $50, and beckett is still the guide to go buy. if an item is rare, or if there is some heat on the item dealers will go up, but not much. there is too much overhead to buy items for 75% or more of an items value.

Thanks and best of luck to you too if you decide to put yours up! Yeah, with this card it was #1 in the set and usually put on top of your stack of cards since it was #1. Rubber bands were often used on cards back then to keep your cards together and this card normally got the worst of the rubber band marks left behind...I guess this is why this card demands some pretty good money :)

Well, good. Now I know I can post all of my husbands cards and actually get something for them. I don't know anything about sports and there are so many cards that they're taking over the garage!
