So... I am a desendent (hope I spelled that right, probably not) of Ethan Allen.... Is he actually in the picture? If so, which one?

The company that took the pic was named Ethan Allen.

It's hard to make out on some cell phones but if you can enlarge the picture you will see the name of the company to your right of the picture and you can see more info in the second pic too. This is a photograph that was adhered to thick card stock as was one of the styles of that time. It has some Embossed lettering on it that makes it harder to see because it was not foiled.

Not sure but it's totally possible. A lot of Big names started out small and branched into many companies or from many companies combined into one.
