The listing, Prehistoric Fossil Shark Teeth has ended.
This auction is for a lot of 12 prehistoric fossil shark teeth that were collected from the Peace River in SW Florida. These teeth are Miocene/Pliocene Epoch in age (2 - 10 million years old). These teeth are what are referred to as "shed teeth", meaning that they fell out of the shark's mouth while the animal was alive. A shark will typically shed about 30,000 teeth in its lifetime. Shed teeth are often broken (biting into bone is very bad for a tooth)
