Runs on 2 AA batteries. I tried it - it does work. This belonged to my daughter. The only thing I know that is wrong with it is that a tiny piece broke off inside the battery door cover and it doesn't close well. It can be taped shut or works the way it is with a small gap. The pictures seem a little grainy but it is only a 5 mp.

It is a Fidelity DV 5900 model (made by Aiptek) and comes with user manual, AV cord to connect to the t.v.and usb cord to connect to computer.
